I was recently asked if I thought that men who show their sensitive side might be prone to judgment by women as clingy or needy.
My response was that sensitive is vastly different from needy. And let’s dispel those rumors that sensitivity is a weakness. It is in fact a profound gift! A man who is willing to embrace his feminine side may be the strongest and most secure of men, and therefore the most attractive to women. “Needy” implies emotional insecurity and typically spawns co-dependent behavior in any relationship. A needy person therefore may be male or female.
What does this mean? A “needy” person, even though they may want to resolve their life issues and their challenges, still look to others to fix them. They may be unwilling to take full responsibility for their life’s circumstances. The lament of, “Why is this happening to me?” is indicative of such a person. Even tragic circumstances are part of life and destiny unfolding. If we are wise and rise to look at the higher purpose – the spiritual significance – of all these things, you may see things in a much different light.
The question of “why have I created this? or, “who or what in me created this?” is the more responsible approach – and demonstrates a willingness to respond to the cause in a way that will not only result in greater emotional freedom but allows and inspires deeper spiritual connection.
Would you like to become more responsible, more able-to-respond-to your life’s challenges, to enjoy a deeper understanding of all you have manifested in your life? I can help to guide you with compassion and deep understanding.
