The Deepest roots of separation:
Ah, the Yin Yang of it all!
Deep in our DNA exists programming – eons old ideologies about the roles of men and women.
And, like it or not, and despite whatever self-empowerment protocols you have embraced or spiritual paths you may be embarked upon, that programming remains rooted within you, hanging out in those elusive crevices of your consciousness.
These patterns are expressed in our relationships, in knee-jerk reactions, subtle sarcasm and other idiosyncratic behavior. And often, we may be just as disturbed or embarrassed at our behavior as the recipients of our communication, clueless as to …”what just happened?”
I was working with a client recently and I noticed a pattern in his facial expression as we spoke of his reluctance to be closer to the women in his life. I asked him if he was aware of a pattern in his make-up that held women as inferior. I then encouraged him to look and feel deeply within and sure enough, with my help we discovered a religious belief, transferred through his family lineage which held that “…any woman who is expressing sexually (regardless of whether she is married) is inferior.” My client was stunned – (he is a great guy who is committed to his spiritual studies.) I assured him that most of us, while we recognize feelings and emotions which are active at certain times, struggle to identify the specifics and the origin.
We are collectively seeking personal sovereignty – that state of inner power that knows no separation.
We know in our hearts that we are here to be all we were meant to be; to fulfill our Soul Contracts at this time of profound human evolution, yet these rifts in communication between male and female – Yin Yang – within us and in our relationships persist and are reflected in the conflicts and upheaval in our inner and outer world.
A question for men: Are you still harboring patterns or beliefs – no matter how subtle – that women are in some way inferior or lesser beings, both sexually and otherwise? Look inside and feel into this question and be honest. It’s OK – you aren’t alone.
Answer: most probably.
A question for women: Do you still harbor deeply rooted beliefs about your right to feel equal to men and to express freely sexually? Despite all of your empowerment for women activities do you still give away your power with antiquated behavior in your romantic and intimate relationships? Ladies, you are also not alone.
Answer: most probably.
We may feel powerless to move past this conditioning and programming – since it is so deeply embedded in our DNA – but introduce that magical word “grace” into the equation and we find the solution. GRACE assures us that it can be easy simply by asking for help.
My suggestion is to use a statement/affirmation along the lines of the following:
“Through grace I ask that, for my highest good and of all concerned, and in accordance with my Soul’s destiny, and in partnership with all those who work with me in the spiritual realms, that any and all antiquated DNA encoding within me is deleted now and forever. What may have served me at one time, no longer serves. I now choose unity within myself, on all my levels and all dimensions of my being. My intention is to align with the male and female energies equally inside myself and otherwise and thereby to live my life fully empowered – in harmony and love. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
You may be surprised at how powerful such a declaration can be – ready for your life to change?
